Robert Covington Joins Tennessee State Front Office
The 35-year-old, an 11-year NBA veteran, returns to his alma mater in a management role covering player relations and youth development.
Robert Covington has taken a front-office job in college basketball, joining Tennessee State's programme in a management role.
The 35-year-old Forward, who spent 11 seasons in the NBA and made one all-defensive team, last played in the 2023/24 season. He now returns to the school where he played for four years early in his career.
Covington's brief covers organisational matters: player relations, community and team activities, and the personal and professional development of young players on the roster. He will also serve as a go-between linking the programme with students and their families.
Head coach Nolan Smith said: "Rob Covington is one of the pillars of TSU history. He will have a lot of responsibilities and an important role."
