Duop Reath Signs One-Year Deal With Suns
The 30-year-old centre leaves Portland after three NBA seasons to join Phoenix on a minimum contract, having turned down other offers.
Duop Reath has agreed a one-year minimum contract with Phoenix, staying in the NBA after three seasons spent entirely with Portland.
The 30-year-old centre, 206cm, made 146 regular-season appearances for the Trail Blazers. Last season he averaged 2.9 points and 1.2 rebounds in 8.1 minutes across 32 games. By all accounts, he had offers from other clubs in the league before settling on the Suns.
Reath was born in South Sudan and went unselected in the 2018 draft. Before reaching the NBA he played in Serbia, Australia, China and Lebanon.
