A. Sissoko

Aboubacar Sissoko's career has run almost entirely through Quebec and the Canadian Premier League. He made two appearances for CS Longueuil in 2014 before three seasons with CS St-Hubert in the Première Ligue de soccer du Québec, where he scored once in 33 matches. The step up came in November 2019, when he signed with HFX Wanderers FC. A trial with Vancouver Whitecaps FC did not lead anywhere, and he spent 2021 in the USL Championship with Indy Eleven, making 21 appearances.

His best spell came at Forge FC, whom he joined as a free agent in February 2022. He made 52 appearances and scored six goals as a defensive midfielder, and won CPL Championships in 2022 and 2023. Atlético Ottawa signed him on a free transfer in February 2024, and he went on to make 50 appearances and score four goals for the club, adding a third CPL title in 2025. In January 2026 he joined FC Supra du Québec, again on a free transfer, and had scored once in 14 appearances by August of that year.

Internationally, Sissoko was capped twice by Mali's U-20 side in 2014 and was part of the squad that qualified for the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup, though he missed the tournament itself after contracting malaria.
