Cecelia Anne Kizer

Cece Kizer arrived in the NWSL as a second-round pick, taken 13th overall by the Houston Dash in the 2019 college draft, but injuries wiped out most of her rookie year before she had a chance to establish herself. She went looking for minutes in Norway instead, joining Kolbotn in the Toppserien in 2020 and scoring three goals in five appearances.

Her breakthrough came with an expansion side. Selected by Racing Louisville FC in the 2020 expansion draft, she scored the first goal in the club's history on 10 April 2021 against the Orlando Pride. She was traded to the Kansas City Current alongside Addisyn Merrick in June 2022. There she became a genuine goal threat, scoring 13 times in 35 appearances and playing a key part in Kansas City's run to the 2022 NWSL Championship final, which they lost to the Portland Thorns.

Since then her career has moved quickly from club to club: back to Houston in a January 2024 trade for Nichelle Prince, then to NJ/NY Gotham FC that September, and on to the Utah Royals in April 2025. A recurring injury in 2023 again cost her significant playing time.

Before any of that, Kizer built her reputation at Ole Miss, where she finished as the programme's all-time leading scorer with 48 goals and 119 points, earning the 2018 Senior CLASS Award and All-American recognition. That form carried her into the United States U-23 setup in 2019, including a Nordic Cup call-up, though a senior cap with the USWNT has not followed.
