About the player
Poloni's route to Farense ran through Portugal's lower leagues. He came up through the youth ranks at São Paulo before moving to Académica in Portugal, and it was there that his senior career actually took shape. His first professional football came at G.D. Sourense in the Campeonato de Portugal, and a free transfer took him on to Anadia F.C.
A brief spell with Vitória Setúbal's B team followed before he settled at Casa Pia, where he stayed for three years. His departure in August 2023 produced the one transfer of his career with a fee attached: a paid move, terms undisclosed, to Spanish side C.D. Eldense in the Segunda División.
He returned north a year later, joining Farense on a free transfer in August 2024.
