Ian Charles Michael Fray

Ian Fray's route to Inter Miami's first team ran through the club's own academy, which he joined in 2019 after coming up through Weston FC and Miramar United. He signed as a homegrown player in January 2021, but his early career was repeatedly stopped short: a torn ACL just a month into his senior career that year, followed by another ACL tear in pre-season 2022 that kept him out of that year's Carolina Challenge Cup. It took until May 2023 for him to make his competitive senior debut.

He has won the Leagues Cup, the Supporters' Shield, the Eastern Conference title and the MLS Cup with Inter Miami, and in December 2025 he signed a contract extension that ties him to the club through the 2028-29 season. Reported interest from Zulte Waregem and Fortuna Düsseldorf was turned down by Inter Miami, who chose to keep him.

Fray holds dual US and Jamaican citizenship and opted to represent Jamaica at international level. He made his senior debut for the Reggae Boyz on 10 October 2025, a 2-0 defeat to Curaçao in the CONCACAF Qualifiers' Final Round for the 2026 World Cup, and went on to win further caps against Bermuda and Trinidad and Tobago.
