Jhonatan Alexander Agudelo Velásquez

Cúcuta Deportivo folded Jhonatan Agudelo back into the squad in July 2025. His first spell at the club, between 2017 and 2020, produced 18 goals in 2018 alone, one of them in the Copa Colombia final, and the club claimed the Categoría Primera B title that year. Agudelo scored the decisive goal in the promotion final against Unión Magdalena, and by August 2022 his goals across various stints had made him the club's tenth-highest scorer of all time, with 42. He also wore the captain's armband at Cúcuta.

He started out at Millonarios, making his debut in August 2013 against Junior de Barranquilla in the Copa Colombia before adding his league bow against Once Caldas. He scored nine goals in 35 appearances during the 2015 season there. A move to Independiente Santa Fe in July 2016 brought silverware quickly: the Categoría Primera A Clausura title that year, won against Tolima, and the Copa Suruga Bank. A short stint at Jaguares de Córdoba followed before he returned to Cúcuta.

His career then took him further afield. In January 2020 he joined Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata on loan, playing under Diego Maradona for six months, though the Argentine club did not take up the option to sign him permanently. He then signed for Israeli side Hapoel Be'er Sheva as a free agent, making 23 appearances and scoring twice in the Europa League before leaving because of regional conflict. Spells at Águilas Doradas and, later, Thai club Uthai Thani followed, before Cúcuta brought him home again.
