About the player
Owen Presthus grew up around Columbus Crew before he ever signed for the club: his father, Tom Presthus, was part of the side that won the 2002 U.S. Open Cup.
His breakthrough at first-team level came in the Leagues Cup Showcase in 2024, when he made his debut against Aston Villa. Columbus Crew has also sent him out on loan to build match minutes, including a spell at Hartford Athletic, where he scored once in six appearances, and later arrangements with Nashville SC and Huntsville City FC.
Presthus has also been capped at United States youth international level, with call-ups to the U-20 squad. He is primarily deployed at right-back for Columbus Crew, a switch from the more advanced role he played in MLS Next Pro.
