Sergey Bugriev

Sergey Bugriev grew up through the Zenit academy in Saint Petersburg, where he arrived in 2013 and finished with a gold medal, winning the Russian Championship with the club's 1998 age group that same year. He was capped for Russia at Under-18 level, taking the Granatkin Memorial in 2015 and reaching the final again a year later, and he featured six times in the UEFA Youth League for Zenit's Under-19 side in the 2015/16 season. A short loan in Slovakia with FC Košice in March 2017 gave him a single appearance in the Slovak Second Division before he made 58 appearances and scored once across three seasons.

His path since leaving Saint Petersburg has taken him well outside Russia's top flight. A permanent move to Tom Tomsk in January 2020 brought 14 FNL appearances, and he then went abroad twice more, first to Kyzyl-Zhar SK in Kazakhstan and then, on a free transfer, to Vitebsk in Belarus.

Since joining Spartak Kostroma in 2022, Bugriev has been a regular fixture in defence. He was a key contributor as the club won the Second League Division A Gold Group, playing 33 league matches in the 2024/25 season with 2 goals and 5 assists. Promotion took Spartak Kostroma into the First League, where Bugriev played 22 matches in 2025/26 and has continued into the following campaign, scoring twice in his opening matches of the 2026/27 season.
