About the player
Yulián Gómez plays as a left-back, and it is that side of the pitch he has occupied since breaking through at Independiente Medellín in 2017. The move brought spells away from the club too, with loans to Real Cartagena in 2018 and Unión Magdalena in 2019 before he returned to Medellín, where he stayed until 2023 and lifted the Copa Colombia in 2020. He also featured in that year's Copa Libertadores, where he set up a goal, and went on to play in the Copa Sudamericana in both 2022 and 2023.
January 2024 took him to Deportivo Cali, where he continued in continental competition through the 2024 Copa Sudamericana. The following March he found the net against Unión Magdalena.
He joined La Equidad as a free agent in July 2025. The club itself changed under him months later, rebranding as Internacional de Bogotá in December 2025, and Gómez continued in the number 16 shirt through that transition, still at left-back in the Colombian Primera A.
