Yohann Magnin

Yohann Magnin spent sixteen years at Clermont Foot 63, arriving in the club's youth academy and leaving only when his contract expired in the summer of 2025. He worked through the reserve side first, before signing his first professional contract in January 2019, after making his senior debut against Paris FC. That patience paid off: he extended his deal a year later and became a fixture in the Clermont midfield during the 2020–21 campaign, when the club finished runners-up in Ligue 2 and won promotion to Ligue 1 for the first time in its history. His form that year and the season before earned him a place in France Football's Ligue 2 Team of the Season for 2019–20. Across his time at the club, Magnin made 183 league appearances and scored six goals.

When his Clermont contract ran out, Magnin left as a free agent and moved abroad for the first time, joining CSKA 1948 Sofia in the Bulgarian First League in September 2025. He made 22 league appearances and three in the cup, with CSKA 1948 falling in the quarter-finals of the Bulgarian Cup to CSKA Sofia. The move did not stick: he and the club parted by mutual consent in June 2026, with Magnin citing difficulties settling into life in Bulgaria. He returned to French football almost immediately, signing for Grenoble Foot 38 in Ligue 2 as a free agent.
