About the player
Zac De Jesus worked his way through the New South Wales pathway before moving on from Wollongong Wolves and Sydney United 58 in the National Premier Leagues before joining the club's youth setup. He signed his first professional contract with Sydney FC in July 2023, and made his senior debut that October, coming off the bench against Brisbane Roar in a 3–0 defeat. A start against Adelaide United followed later in the season.
De Jesus was part of the squad that won the 2023 Australia Cup, having featured in the earlier rounds against Central Coast Mariners and APIA Leichhardt, though he was not named in the matchday squad for the final against Brisbane Roar.
His development has run in parallel with representative football. De Jesus was capped ten times by Australia's under-17s between 2022 and 2023, playing at the Antalya Youth Cup and the AFC U-17 Asian Cup, having earlier been part of the under-16 squad at the AFF U-16 Youth Championship. In July 2024 he was called up to the Australia under-19 squad, the Young Socceroos, for the ASEAN U-19 Boys' Championship in Indonesia.
He remains with Sydney FC.
