The Aces play at the Michelob Ultra Arena, seating around 12,000, on the Strip in Paradise, Nevada.

It started life in 1997 as the Utah Starzz, one of the WNBA's original eight teams, moved to Texas in 2003 as the San Antonio Silver Stars, dropped "Silver" in 2014, and only became the Aces after relocating to Las Vegas in 2018.

What followed changed the franchise's standing in the league. A third championship followed in 2025, against the Phoenix Mercury.

The roster built around that run carried recognisable names — Chelsea Gray, Jackie Young, Kelsey Plum among them — without any of those rivalries wearing an official derby name.

Three championships in black, silver and white, all won since 2022.
