Pau Billere

It stayed under that umbrella until 1992, when it split off as an independent club, Billère Handball.

The club's competitive ceiling has sat consistently at Nationale 1, the third tier, where it took the title twice, in 1999 and again in 2019 — the same league each time.

Villedieu stayed until 2015; Daniel Deherme followed from 2019 to 2024, the year the club took its current name, Pau Billère Handball, having spent the previous five seasons as the professional entity Billère Handball Pau Pyrénées. Jérémy Vergely wore the captaincy through much of that period, and Jérôme Fernandez joined in 2022 to lead its development project rather than to play.
