Arena Trops

The ground stands in the Várzea das Moças district of Niterói.

The arena was built for the Centro de Formação de Atletas do Trops, a training project of Trops Futebol Clube. Construction began in 2007 and finished before the stadium opened in 2013. It served youth categories for a long time.

What you see on the banners says more than the capacity figures. These belong to the supporters.

The venue now hosts professionals. Niteroiense Futebol Clube plays its home games in the Campeonato Carioca Série B1 and Copa Rio at this address. Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas uses the facility for its youth teams under a ten-year partnership. The attendance record is 600 spectators, set during the first professional match on June 25, 2025. That was a 0–0 draw between Niteroiense and America in the Copa Rio.

The stadium has not hosted major finals or concerts. It remains a working ground for lower-division matches and youth tournaments. The players who saw the game out here did not travel to make up the numbers; they played in front of friends and neighbours.
