Edip Buran Arena sits in the Yenişehir district.

The floor is wooden parquet. Basketball is the main event here, and the Mersin BB men's and women's teams have played at least since the 2005–06 season, when the men's side was promoted to the Turkish Basketball League.

Football does not happen in this arena. Mersin İdmanyurdu play at Tevfik Sırrı Gür Stadium, and Yeni Mersin İdmanyurdu moved into Mersin Stadium when it was completed in 2013. Neither of those grounds looks like Edip Buran Arena: both are outdoor football pitches with grandstands, not indoor halls with parquet floors.

It is a functional hall where games are played and scores are kept.
