The arena sits in the Boulevares residential subdivision. Calzada de los Deportes s/n is the address.

Built in 1986, the structure predates the professional wrestling boom in the city. It was named after professor Marcelino González. Ownership rests with the Instituto de Cultura Física y Deporte del Estado de Zacatecas (InCUFIDEZ). The most significant rehabilitation arrived in 2015.

Current tenants include the Mineros de Zacatecas men’s team and the Mineras de Zacatecas women’s side, both competing in the LNBP.

Beyond basketball, the floor hosts professional wrestling, boxing, and MMA events under the LUX Fight League banner.
