Íþróttamiðstöð Hauka

Hafnarfjörður, Iceland

Formerly: Ásvellir, Gaman Ferða völlurinn, Schenkervöllurinn

It sits in Miðbær Hafnarfjarðar, a district in Hafnarfjörður, Iceland, tucked into a sports complex that also holds a gymnasium, a swimming pool, and basketball courts. The complex opened in 2009 , built by the Municipality of Hafnarfjarðarbær for Knattspyrnufélagið Haukar, the club that operates the facility.

What sets the ground apart is not its architecture, but its purpose. The primary pitch has an artificial turf surface, referred to in Icelandic as 'gervigras', though the facility is also home to the Áramótabrenna, the town's New Year's Eve bonfire. The capacity is 1,800, a figure that was reached during a 2023 World Men's Handball Championship European qualification match.

The ground has changed its name several times. Its traditional name is Ásvellir, but for a long time it was known as Schenkervöllurinn (2011–2017) before becoming Birtu völlurinn. It has seen international handball qualifiers for the European Championships (Men's and Women's) and concerts, such as Marc Martel: One Vision of Queen in March 2025. Haukar FC uses the venue for their home matches.
