Ibri Sports Club Stadium

The Ibri Sports Club Stadium sits in the Al Zahira quarter of Ibri, tucked behind the College of Technology. It is a ground with a running track encircling the natural grass pitch. The floodlights are bright enough for evening fixtures in the Omani Professional League, and the stands hold 15,000 spectators. There is no official website for the venue, and no record of a major renovation.

What makes this place distinct is its quiet consistency. While larger arenas in Muscat host international matches and concerts, Ibri remains the local hub for domestic cup football. The stadium has hosted semi-finals in the His Majesty’s Cup, such as the first-leg tie against Al Oruba in the 2019–20 season. It also saw a quarter-final clash where Ibri defeated Al-Suwaiq 1–0. The club itself competes in the top flight, facing off against regional rivals like Saham and Sohar.

The complex is occasionally used for local initiatives, including workshops under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth’s Tazeez program. This adds a layer of civic utility beyond the nineo’clock kick-offs. The seating capacity has remained unchanged, a testament to a straightforward approach to infrastructure.

The ground is not known for attendance records, nor does it boast a history of sponsorship naming rights.
