The Lada-Arena in Tolyatti presents a straightforward, modern silhouette against the sky. The exterior is dominated by broad sheets of blue glass that curve along the roofline, reflecting the clouds and surrounding trees. Large red lettering reading "ЛАДА АРЕНА" stands out on the white facade, alongside the blue circular logo of the car manufacturer. The building feels closed in on itself, a solid block of steel and glass rather than an open-air structure. The ground in front is largely bare earth and gravel, with a simple blue fence running along the perimeter of the site. The arena replaced the old Volgar Ice Palace, which had struggled with a capacity of just 2,900. This new venue was designed to be larger, settling on a figure of 6,200 seats according to the official website, though other sources list slightly different numbers. It opened in 2013, marking the end of the old era for local hockey. The interior hosts both the Kontinental Hockey League club HC Lada and the Junior Hockey League side MHC Ladya. The surface is ice, frozen solid for the winter months. Outside of sport, the building serves as a concert hall. In March 2023, it drew nearly 6,000 people to see Ruki Vverh! perform, a sign that the space has found use beyond the rink. The official site, tlt-arena.ru, manages the bookings for these events.
