Lamitan Capitol Gymnasium

The Basilan Provincial Government runs an indoor sports arena in Lamitan, the capital of the province. It sits on Rizal Avenue. The ground is primarily associated with the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). The Basilan Steel, a team that has changed its name several times over the years, calls this court home. In the past, they have hosted finals matches, such as the 2020 Chooks-to-Go MPBL Lakan Cup, where the local team faced the Davao Occidental Tigers.

Beyond basketball, the gymnasium serves as a gathering place for the wider city. It has hosted the Paru-Paro Festival, a local cultural event, and various graduation ceremonies for students. The facility has seen many matches and events, though the exact date it first opened its doors remains unknown to public record.
