Levi's Stadium
Santa Clara, United States
It hosts the San Francisco 49ers in the National Football League (NFL) , but it also opens its doors for the biggest concerts in the world.
The capacity is not fixed. On a match day for the team, the number is roughly 68,500, but the venue can expand for a Super Bowl or a major concert. The pitch itself is Bandera Bermuda grass, which is maintained by an under-soil heating system and movable LED grow lights that help the surface survive the winter.
The stadium has hosted significant events, including Super Bowl 50 and WrestleMania 31. It also served as a host venue for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, during which it was temporarily known as the San Francisco Bay Area Stadium to follow neutral naming policies. The structure includes solar panels and a green roof, elements that were part of the original design rather than an afterthought.
The San Jose Earthquakes of Major League Soccer (MLS) occasionally use the ground when their primary home is unavailable. The naming rights were secured by Levi Strauss & Co. in 2013, a deal that has kept the name consistent since opening.
