Mulberry Park

Mulberry Park sits quietly in the Broadland district. The original structure was raised by Mulbarton United in the mid-1970s after they had outgrown The Common. They scraped together £25,000 to build it, and the site served them until the club was wound up in 2006. The Mulbarton Parish Council held onto it, leasing it to Mulbarton Wanderers, originally formed as a youth side, in 2009.

What makes this place distinct is its persistence. It is the only ground in town. The capacity is a subject of minor dispute in the databases, with some figures suggesting 2,000, but the physical layout—open flat standing areas on hard standing—supports the lower figure of 1,000. The highest recorded crowd, 959, watched a women’s county cup final in 2022.

The Ken Lewis Stand , also known locally as Pip Skips stand, is a small covered structure that holds about 100 spectators. The rest of the pitch is natural grass. Since the Wanderers took over, there have been no major rebuilds, only incremental improvements like floodlights and railings. The ground carries the sponsor name The Abode Arena. It hosted an FA Cup Preliminary Round match against Bedford Town in 2023, but the team did not travel.
