Nene Park

Before the major redevelopment costing £30 million between 1992 and 1998, the ground was quite different. The new project, designed by Rex Bryan Son & Pennock, transformed the site. The North and South Stands were built as all-seater sections, while the Peter De Banke Terrace, later renamed the Dale Roberts Terrace, provided standing space. The Airwair Stand was completed in December 1996, with its roof added in 1997. These stands were officially opened in April 1995 by the Prince of Wales.

It opened in 1969 on land purchased from the water board for Irthlingborough Diamonds F.C. Three clubs called it home over the years: Irthlingborough Diamonds from 1969 to 1992, Rushden & Diamonds from 1992 to 2011, and Kettering Town from 2011 to 2012. The playing surface was always natural grass.

The stadium hosted a famous FA Cup Third Round match on 2 January 1999, when Rushden & Diamonds drew 0–0 with Leeds United in front of 6,431 spectators. It also served as a training camp for the 2012 London Olympics, where athletes from archery, fencing, football, judo, table tennis, and wrestling came to prepare. The ground never had any commercial names; it was always known simply as Nene Park.

The venue closed when Kettering Town left in 2012. Between February and May 2017, the stadium was demolished to make way for the Rushden Lakes leisure park expansion. The site is now called Nene Business Park.
