Robert and Janet Vackar Stadium

Edinburg, United States

Formerly: H-E-B Park, UTRGV Stadium, Vaqueros Stadium

Robert and Janet Vackar Stadium sits in Edinburg, Texas. Since March 22, 2017, the ground has hosted sport, first as a venue for soccer and, following a purchase by the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in February 2024, as a football arena for the UTRGV Vaqueros. Originally built for approximately $16.8 million by Lone Star FC LLC, the facility was acquired with a $20 million donation from Robert and Janet Vackar, leading to a renaming on March 21, 2024.

The original natural grass pitch was replaced with a FieldTurf Vertex CORE system featuring CoolPlay technology, while the field level was lowered. The capacity, which stood at roughly 10,000 for the 2017 opening match against C.F. Monterrey, has been expanded to 12,000 for the 2025 season, with plans to reach 13,500. The most recent attendance record belongs to the football era: 12,903 spectators watched the Vaqueros beat Houston Christian 27–7 on October 4, 2025.

It continues to host concerts, such as the Skillet performance in April 2018, and university commencement ceremonies. The project is not yet complete; additional interior renovations and suite expansions are scheduled for completion in 2026.
