San Andres Sports Complex
Manila, Philippines
Formerly: Mail and More Arena
There is a hardwood floor at the centre of the San Andres Sports Complex, which the city of Manila uses for basketball and volleyball. The hardwood has been there since the venue hosted wrestling at the 2005 Southeast Asian Games, and it has seen the 2009 Asian Men's Seniors Volleyball Championship since.
The arena sits at 618 San Andres Street in the Malate district, although the number 704 also appears on some signage. It was known as the Mail and More Arena when the Manila Metrostars played there between 1999 and 2001. Now it hosts the Manila Batang Quiapo in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League and the Pilipinas Super League, as well as collegiate tournaments from the NCAA and the UAAP.
It has hosted boxing matches, including John Riel Casimero defending his WBO interim bantamweight title in 2019.
The ground has also served other purposes. During the 2019 Manila local elections, vote canvassing took place inside. In 2020 it was converted into a quarantine facility for COVID-19 patients, and later operated as a vaccination site in 2021. No official attendance record has been found for the venue.
