Slazengers Sports Complex

The Slazengers Sports Complex The land was bought from the council in 1948, clearing the site of the old fever hospital, and the complex was formally opened on June 30, 1950. Mrs. Slazenger cut the ribbon at a ceremony that featured an exhibition tennis match between Fred Perry and Dan Maskell.

Horbury Town F.C. has played here since the summer of 1994, moving from their previous site. The main pitch is natural grass, while a synthetic turf pitch is also present, used primarily for hockey and other sports. The facility is home to the Slazenger Hockey Club and the Horbury Town Junior Football Club. The ground accommodates around 500 spectators, with approximately 150 seats, including a 100-seat stand and a relocated 50-seat stand approved in 2023 planning permissions. Matches held here are part of the Northern Counties East League.
