WKK Sport Center

The WKK Sport Center in Wrocław sits in the Fabryczna district. The heart of the argument lies in the floor. Three courts cover over 1,600 square metres, all laid with natural solid hardwood maple supplied by Junckers Sports Flooring. For the WKK Wrocław men's basketball team, which competes in the 1. Liga Mężczyzn, this consistency is vital; they need a reliable reaction to every cut and drive. The capacity for such activity is set at 1,200 seats, a number confirmed by the City of Wrocław and PolskiKosz.pl, though some aggregators suggest a higher figure. The discrepancy is minor, but the official stance remains firm on the practical limit. The center’s pedigree is most visible in its hosting duties. It held the korfball and unihockey tournaments during the 2017 World Games, a moment that brought international attention without altering the building’s character. During the korfball event, the venue managed the pressure of the semi-finals and finals, including the gold medal match between the Netherlands and Chinese Taipei. The away end never stopped, yet the noise was absorbed by the structure’s design. It is also used for unihockey, a sport that demands rapid changes of direction. The contractor for the flooring, Erzet-Podłogi from Bielsko-Biała, ensured the installation met professional standards, though the main developer of the facility remains an unknown entity in public records. The address, ul. Czajcza 19, is the only fixed point in a city that has changed around it. The building does not claim to be a temple of sport; it simply holds the games.
