About the player
Asylbek Seytkaliev came through at FC Atyrau, making his senior debut for the club in 2011 and staying until 2014 before his career took him abroad. After a spell with Kaspiy Aktau, the midfielder spent time in Lithuania with FK Koralas Klaipėda and FK Minija Kretinga, then moved to Spain in 2019 to join CD Gerena in the Tercera División.
Seytkaliev returned to FC Atyrau, the club where he started, and has since moved between several Kazakh sides, including FK Ulytau and FK Altay in the Kazakhstan First League. He has now come back to Atyrau once again.
He has not been capped by the Kazakhstan national side, and his career has not brought major honours with any of his clubs. What stands out instead is the breadth of leagues he has sampled at a relatively modest playing height of 168 cm — from the Kazakhstan Premier League to Lithuania's top flight and Spain's regional football pyramid.
