Alan Forrest

Alan Forrest is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or left winger. He began his career at Ayr United, coming through their academy and making his debut in 2013. He became Ayr United's youngest ever goalscorer at 16 years, 321 days old. He won the Scottish League One title with Ayr United in 2017–18 and was named Scottish Championship Player of the Month in September 2019. Forrest transferred to Livingston on a free transfer in July 2020, making 76 appearances. He joined Heart of Midlothian on a free transfer on 1 June 2022, signing a two-year deal that was extended in January 2024 until 2026. At Hearts he won the club's Goal of the Season award for a long-range strike against Hibernian in October 2023 and was named Scottish Premiership Player of the Month in January 2024. He departed Hearts in July 2026 and joined Dundee on a two-year free transfer deal. He earned one cap for Scotland U21 in 2016. His physical attributes are listed as 175 cm height, 70 kg weight, and right-footed. He is the younger brother of Celtic and Scotland winger James Forrest.
