Alexander Martin Fransson

Fransson came through IFK Norrköping's own academy, joining the youth ranks in 2008 and working his way to a senior debut in 2013. He was still on the books at his hometown club when they won the Allsvenskan title and the Svenska Supercupen in 2015. FC Basel paid around 20 million Swedish kronor for him that January, a fee that stood as the most expensive sale in Norrköping's history at the time. In Switzerland he collected two Super League titles and a Swiss Cup.

He returned to Norrköping on a free transfer in 2018, then left again in 2022 for AEK Athens, where he added a Greek league and cup double in his first season. Spells at AC Omonia and, briefly, Norwegian side Odds BK followed before he went back to IFK Norrköping once more in March 2025, signing until the end of that year.

At international level, Fransson worked his way up through Sweden's youth sides, earning caps at both U19 and U21 level, and made his senior debut in 2016. His eight caps for the national team included a place in the squad at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
