About the player
Ashley Hay’s start at **Baldock Town** defined his early development. In two seasons there he scored twenty-four goals in forty-five appearances. He moved briefly to **Biggleswade Town** before returning to **Hitchin Town**, where he claimed Supporters' Player of the Year honours.
He joined the Premier League club on 31 August 2023 but did not feature for the first team. Instead, he spent the winter of 2025 out on loan at **Cheltenham Town**. He made twenty-one league appearances and netted three goals during his spell.
Hay secured a permanent transfer to **Dundee** on 4 July 2025. The forward signed a two-year contract for an undisclosed fee, bringing his career totals to 172 appearances and 57 goals by August 2026. He wears shirt number 11 for the Scottish club.
While he missed out on England national team recognition at any level, he is right-footed and stands 1.81 metres tall.
