Atanas Iliev

At Montana, Atanas Iliev became the club's all-time top scorer. He arrived in 2015 from Dobrudzha Dobrich, where he had scored 17 goals in 28 league matches the season before, and stayed for five years. In that spell he played 127 league matches and scored 52 goals.

He began at Cherno More Varna, making his debut in 2012 and playing 15 league matches before moving to Dobrudzha in July 2014. Botev Plovdiv signed him in 2020, and he finished the 2020–21 season as the club's top scorer with 17 goals in 33 league matches. That return drew interest from abroad.

In 2021 he moved to Ascoli in Italy's Serie B, where he made 30 league appearances and scored twice. His contract was terminated by mutual consent in January 2023, and he went back to Cherno More Varna. Over the following year he played 50 league matches and scored 15 goals. A move to Cyprus followed with Anorthosis Famagusta, and in 2024–25 he scored eight goals in 26 league matches.

Iliev joined CSKA 1948 Sofia in 2025. He has played 36 league matches for the club and scored six goals. CSKA 1948 finished as runners-up in the Bulgarian First League in 2025/26. He has not won a league title or a domestic cup.

For the Bulgaria national team, he had won 16 caps and scored three goals by June 2022. Those goals came in a friendly against Slovakia on 1 June 2021, in 2022 World Cup qualifying against Italy, and in the 2022–23 Nations League against Georgia. He can play with either foot.
