About the player
Blessing Makanda was born in Luanda, Angola, and holds dual Angolan and German nationality. He joined Hoffenheim's academy in July 2021.
A year earlier, the same age group had already gone as far as the semi-finals of the same cup. In July 2025, Makanda was promoted to Hoffenheim's second team in the 3. Liga.
He is yet to make an appearance for Hoffenheim's senior side, in the Bundesliga or the DFB-Pokal, and has not featured for Angola at any level.
