About the player
He turned that grounding into a homegrown contract with CF Montréal in November 2018, after a brief stop at Ottawa Fury FC and a loan back to Montreal. He made 25 appearances for the club and won the Canadian Championship twice, in 2019 and 2021.
From there his career took him abroad. A move to Norwegian side HamKam in 2022 brought eight appearances before he returned to Canadian Premier League football with York United FC in 2023, where he made 31 appearances and scored twice. A loan swap with HFX Wanderers FC in May 2024, involving Tomas Giraldo, added 18 more appearances to his record.
The high point of his career so far came in Iceland. Signing for Þór Akureyri in February 2025, Bayiha scored three goals in 18 matches and helped the club win the 2025 1. deild karla title, securing promotion. He joined Supra du Québec in January 2026.
Internationally, Bayiha represented Canada at youth level, earning five caps and a goal for the under-20 side and two caps for the under-21s in 2018.
