Dominik Ivilin Yankov

Born in Toronto to Bulgarian parents, Dominik Yankov built his game far from the country he would go on to represent. He started out at the Genesis Football Academy in Canada before moving to England as a boy to join Sunderland's academy, then switched paths again in 2016 when he signed for Ludogorets Razgrad. He worked his way up through the reserve side in the Second League before making his first-team debut in 2017, and a loan spell at Botev Vratsa in 2019–2020 gave him regular senior minutes away from Razgrad. That season also brought recognition: he was named the Bulgarian First League's Best Progressing Player in 2020.

Ludogorets was where Yankov built his medal collection. Across his years at the club he won six Bulgarian First League titles, three Bulgarian Supercups and a Bulgarian Cup, establishing himself as part of one of the country's most dominant sides. His senior international career began in October 2020, and he has since earned 18 caps for Bulgaria.

In January 2024, Yankov left Bulgaria for Major League Soccer, joining CF Montréal. He stayed for around a year and a half before moving on again in June 2025, this time to HNK Rijeka in Croatia on a three-year contract. His time at Rijeka proved short: in July 2026 he left as a free agent to sign a three-year deal with Arda Kardzhali, taking the number 8 shirt.
