About the player
Facundo Aristegui put the ball through a Nacional defender's legs, and a name people recognised.
He grew up in the Bonomi neighbourhood of Montevideo. Aristegui saw an announcement for a trial at Miramar Misiones, went along, and stayed about six months. In that time he made his first-team debut in the Torneo Intermedio against Peñarol and signed his first professional contract.
Early in 2025 he moved to Boston River. No fee was recorded for the transfer. His appearances in the Liga AUF Uruguaya have come against Peñarol, Racing Club de Montevideo, Nacional, Danubio, Albion and Cerro.
He is most often used wide on the left, though the databases have listed him on both flanks.
