About the player
Fousseni Dumbia was born in Munich and started out in the youth ranks of TSV 1860 München before moving across the city's footballing landscape to Eintracht Frankfurt's academy in 2022. He worked his way up through the club and became a regular for Eintracht Frankfurt II in the Regionalliga Südwest. That breakthrough came during the 2024/25 season, when he made his Bundesliga debut against Bayer Leverkusen. He signed his first professional contract with the club in July 2025.
His path at senior level has now taken a different turn. In June 2026, Eintracht Frankfurt confirmed his loan to 2. Bundesliga side FC Energie Cottbus for the 2026/27 season.
Dumbia's international future lies with Mali rather than Germany, despite being born there. He featured for Mali's U20 side at the 2025 Maurice Revello Tournament, playing against Panama and Japan, and has since stepped up to the U21 national team, making his debut in July 2025.
