About the player
Hugo Fagerberg came up through Mjällby AIF, joining the club's academy at the age of five and working his way to the senior squad, where he was promoted in February 2022.
He spent the 2024 season on loan at Nosaby IF, then moved to Ängelholms FF for 2025, where he made 25 league appearances. That campaign coincided with Mjällby AIF winning the Allsvenskan title, though Fagerberg was not part of the squad that did it, having been out on loan at the time. In July 2026 he took another step, joining IFK Norrköping on loan for the rest of the season.
Fagerberg still holds a contract with Mjällby AIF, which runs until June 2028. He has not yet earned a senior cap for Sweden.
