İbrahim Akdağ

İbrahim Akdağ's career reads as a long tour of Turkey's lower divisions rather than a straight line to the top. Born in Istanbul, he came through the Yıldırım Bosnaspor academy and signed with İstanbul Başakşehir in 2010, but the club never gave him a senior appearance. Instead, Başakşehir sent him out on loan four times over four years — to Pursaklarspor, Kızılcahamamspor, Ümraniyespor and Darıca Gençlerbirliği — before his contract there expired in 2014.

That is when his career effectively began in earnest. Akdağ joined Ümraniyespor permanently and stayed for four seasons, the longest spell of his career, before moving to BB Erzurumspor in 2018 for another three years. Since then he has changed clubs almost annually: Kayserispor and MKE Ankaragücü in 2021, Eyüpspor for the 2022–2023 campaign, then Pendikspor, a loan at Sivasspor, a return to Pendikspor and a move to Iğdır FK in January 2025. In July 2025 he signed a two-year deal with Keçiörengücü as a free agent.

He has never been capped by Turkey at any level, senior or youth. His profile lists him as comfortable on both feet, a trait that fits a player who has had to adapt to a new dressing room most seasons of his career.
