About the player
Juan Meli came through Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's youth academy and made his first-team debut as a substitute in a 1-1 draw against Sarmiento de Junín, signing his first professional contract soon after. The left-footed left-back took time to establish himself, becoming a regular starter only in the 2023 season.
Sent on loan to Central Córdoba de Santiago del Estero, Meli became a key figure in the side and started the full 90 minutes of the Copa Argentina final, a 1-0 win over Vélez Sarsfield that delivered the club's first-ever title in the competition.
He returned to Godoy Cruz once the loan expired and slotted straight back into the side, making around 26 appearances across the league and the Copa Sudamericana in 2025.
Meli has represented Argentina at youth level but has yet to earn a senior cap.
