Kenny Saief

Kenny Saief was born in Panama City, Florida, and holds dual American and Israeli citizenship, a product of an Israeli Druze family that moved to Israel when he was three. He played for Israeli youth sides Maccabi Haifa, Hapoel Haifa, Maccabi Netanya and Beitar Nes Tubruk, with a spell in Germany at the TSV 1860 München academy before he returned home to start his senior career. Brief, thin runs at Bnei Sakhnin, Hapoel Haifa and Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona produced barely a handful of appearances between them. It was at Hapoel Nir Ramat HaSharon, with nine goals in 28 games, that he caught the attention of clubs abroad.

He moved to Belgium's K.A.A. A loan to R.S.C. Anderlecht turned into a permanent switch in 2018, a transfer reported at around $4.31 million. Ashdod were shaped by fitness problems as much as form. A free transfer took him to Neftçi PFK, where he scored five goals in 46 appearances, before he signed for Maccabi Haifa as a free agent.

After two caps for Israel in 2016, FIFA approved a switch of allegiance, and he went on to earn four caps for the United States, debuting against Ghana in 2017.
