King Manu

King Manu grew up in Cologne and worked his way through a string of local youth sides — TuRU Düsseldorf, Borussia Mönchengladbach, SG Unterrath and Ratingen 04/19 — before turning senior professional with MSV Düsseldorf in the Oberliga Niederrhein. A move to Fortuna Düsseldorf II in the Regionalliga West followed, and in August 2024 he signed his first professional contract with Fortuna Düsseldorf, going on to make five appearances for the first team in the 2. Bundesliga.

That same month he moved to Hansa Rostock on loan for the 2024/25 3. Liga season, a spell that became the making of him: 29 appearances, including a display against Arminia Bielefeld that earned him a "Note 2" rating from the Ostsee-Zeitung even with a goal ruled out. In September 2025 he switched loan clubs again, joining Energie Cottbus, also in the 3. Liga, while still under contract to Fortuna Düsseldorf. He suffered a hip injury during his time at Fortuna the same summer.

At Cottbus he made 16 appearances in the 2025/26 season and was part of the side that won promotion to the 2. Bundesliga, an achievement that led to him signing permanently with the club in June 2026. Coaches have described him as a leader with strong physical attributes and game intelligence. He is a German international of Ghanaian heritage and plays with his right foot.
