About the player
Manuel Pozo Guerrero landed in Portugal for the first time. Born in Casariche, in the province of Seville, he started out at local sides ED Casariche and Peloteros Sierra Sur, then moved to Calavera CF, where a call-up to the Andalusia U18 selection for the 2018 National Sub-18 Championship marked an early sign of promise. He joined Real Betis's youth setup shortly after.
His senior career began with Real Betis B, with a loan spell at CD Covadonga in the same season. A year at Sporting de Gijón B followed before his move to Real Valladolid Promesas in 2022: 64 appearances and 18 goals across two seasons. He made two outings with Real Valladolid's senior team in 2023–2024, though he did not find the net at that level.
Pozo has not been capped by any Spanish national youth side at U17, U19 or U21 level. His moves between Spanish clubs came as free transfers or loans, without fees attached, and his switch to Torreense in 2024 took him outside Spain for the first time, into Portuguese football.
