About the player
Martim Antunes is a product of Porto's own academy, coming through the club's youth system in his home city rather than arriving through a transfer. There are no fees or former clubs to point to in his file, and none are needed: everything he has done in the game so far has been in Porto colours.
The centre-back has progressed to Porto's under-19 side and now features on the fringes of the reserve squad, FC Porto B, where he has been named among the substitutes in matches such as the meeting with Farense.
His performances at youth level have also brought recognition beyond Porto. Antunes has been called up to Portugal's under-17 and under-18 national sides, representing his country alongside his development at club level.
He plays on the right foot, attributes suited to the defensive role he has settled into. For now, his career remains built entirely on progression through the ranks: academy, under-19s, and a place, however peripheral, in the picture at FC Porto B.
