Mateo Tanlongo

Mateo Tanlongo came through the youth ranks at Rosario Central, joining the academy in 2010 and made his professional debut for the Argentine club in January 2021. He moved to Sporting CP on a free transfer in January 2023, on a contract running to 2027 with a release clause of €60 million. A move to F.C. Copenhagen brought no competitive minutes and was cut short in January 2024.

The loan that defined his career so far came next: a season at Pafos FC in Cyprus, where Tanlongo made 27 appearances across all competitions and scored twice. Pafos won the 2024–25 Cypriot First Division, the club's first league title, and Tanlongo was part of that squad, as well as the side that reached the final of the Cypriot Cup, where they were beaten by AEK Larnaca.

Back in Portugal for 2025–26, he has been assigned to Sporting CP B in Liga Portugal 2, where he has made 10 appearances, three of them starts, and scored his first goal for the side against Penafiel. At international level, Tanlongo represented Argentina's under-20 side six times between 2022 and 2023, including appearances at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup, where he started against Guatemala in the group stage and against Nigeria in the round of 16.
