Nicky William Hogarth

Nicky Hogarth spent three years in the Rangers academy without making a first-team appearance, instead building his game through a string of loan spells at East Stirlingshire, Kilwinning Rangers, Caledonian Braves, Stirling Albion and Cowdenbeath, where he kept seven clean sheets in sixteen matches. A free transfer to Nottingham Forest in July 2021 kept him in development football rather than on the senior teamsheet, and it was a loan back to his hometown club, Falkirk, in the 2022–23 season that reshaped his path. He signed for Falkirk permanently on a free transfer in June 2023.

That move turned out to be the making of him. Hogarth was a key figure as Falkirk won the Scottish League One title in 2023–24, a season that also brought him a place in the PFA Scotland Team of the Year for the division. Falkirk kept climbing the following year, winning the Scottish Championship in 2024–25 to secure promotion to the Scottish Premiership, with Hogarth again part of the squad that carried the club up through the leagues.

He has also had a taste of international football, earning a Scotland Under-21 call-up for matches against Turkey and Kazakhstan, and winning his only cap against Kazakhstan in March 2022.
