Nigel Ogidi Nwankwo

Nigel Ogidi Nwankwo came through the ADO Den Haag academy, joining as a boy in 2005 and staying with the club until 2018.

It was at Quick Boys, signed on a free transfer in December 2019, that Nwankwo established himself. Across five seasons he made 145 Tweede Divisie appearances, scoring five goals, two of them coming in the 2024–25 campaign in which the club won the title. He also featured eight times in the cup during his spell there.

He arrived as competition for Jeff Hardeveld at left-back and was part of the Telstar squad that won promotion to the Eredivisie that year, ending a 47-year absence from the top flight, though he did not feature in the play-off victory over Willem II. Since then he has made four Eredivisie appearances and two in the KNVB Cup for Telstar. A left-footed defender comfortable at left-back or as a wing-back, Nwankwo's career has been built on steady accumulation in the Dutch lower leagues rather than a single breakthrough moment.
