Owen Bevan

Owen Bevan’s path to the first team was not paved with immediate stardom. It was built on steady development within the AFC Bournemouth youth setup, where he captained the under-18s during the 2021–22 season. That leadership role marked a moment of recognition before he made his senior debut for Bournemouth in 2022.

The years that followed were defined by movement. To gain experience, Bevan moved through a series of loans. He spent time at Truro City and Yeovil Town, where he accumulated appearances and scored goals. A stint at Cheltenham Town followed, adding more experience to his resume. His move to Hibernian in 2024 ended prematurely due to injury, leaving him with no appearances for the Scottish side.

His career trajectory shifted significantly in July 2026 when he signed permanently for Dundee FC. The deal came with a two-year contract and an option for a further year. At 186 cm, he fits the profile of a centre-back who can compete for the ball high and low. He wears the number 5 shirt for the club. His right foot is his preferred side, though versatility remains key at this level.

Internationally, Bevan has represented Wales at various youth levels. He has earned five caps for the under-21s, three for the under-19s, and two for the under-17s. He qualifies for the national setup through his mother, Katie, who is Welsh. This connection allows him to play for the country despite being born in Winchester, England.

He has not yet won any major trophies or individual awards. His focus has been on establishing himself as a reliable defender.
