Owen Mason

Owen Mason's first senior appearance for Mansfield Town came in April 2025, a 4–2 win over Peterborough United. It followed several years spent gaining experience elsewhere. Born in Nottingham, he came through the Mansfield academy and signed his first professional contract in 2021.

The first spell was at Guiseley, from December 2021 to May 2022. Farsley Celtic followed in the 2022/23 season, from September to January, and then Kettering Town from February to June 2023. In July 2023 he joined Wexford FC in the League of Ireland First Division, and he returned to the club for a second stint in 2024.

Not every move ran its full length. He made one league appearance and one in the FA Cup before Mansfield recalled him in October. A month later he went to Gateshead on loan.

Mason holds Irish nationality and has played for the Republic of Ireland at youth level. He won one cap for the Under-18s in August 2021 and four for the Under-19s between 2022 and 2023. In 2023 he was called up to the Under-21 squad.

In January 2026 he joined Southend United on loan in the National League. Later came an emergency loan at Gillingham that lasted a week. He then joined Bromley for an undisclosed fee. The club had already secured promotion to EFL League One in 2025–26 by the time the permanent move went through.
